I enjoyed a hearty roast dinner and appreciated the accommodating staff who even brought out bones for my dog. The warm atmosphere made for a lovely evening.

The cozy room was offset by a frustrating shower experience.

the staff are super friendly and made our stay comfy. had a great sunday roast for just £10, even tho they had no vegan option. the hotel has this old charm that we really liked. room service was a bit tricky since u have to ask at the bar, but they are quick to help out. overall, we had a good time!
the room could use a bit of updating and the bathroom was not very clean when we arrived.

The location in Bicester was fantastic, right near restaurants and shops, making it easy to explore. the room needed better cleaning. the bathroom had a persistent bleach smell, and the shower was underwhelming. staff were friendly, but there’s room for improvement.

Had a great time with my friends! We visited the local market and took a day trip to the nearby beautiful castle. Our room was cozy, and the staff were super friendly. Just a heads up – the restaurant was under refurbishment during our stay, so plan ahead if you're looking to dine in.
The shower in our room was a bit frustrating. it struggled to maintain a steady flow and temperature. It made for a not-so-pleasant experience after a long day out.

Great location and friendly staff
I recently stayed for 1 night in a Family Room, and I really appreciated the great location and helpful staff. It's just a short walk from the village station, making reaching local attractions very convenient. the shower in our room struggled with a steady flow, which could be improved for a more pleasant experience.

would like to go back there again
Spacious family room with clean white bedding and fluffy towels. Nice amenities like a flat-screen TV, electric kettle, and a private bathroom with free toiletries. Friendly staff quickly sorted out any needs. Great location with plenty of dining spots nearby. No lift but there were plug-in fans for comfort. Shower had some issues though.

the location is really good for exploring the town and other places around oxford. the superior king room was nice and comfy to sleep in. staff were generally friendly and helpful. the owners seemed to care about their guests which is always a plus! decent value for the price we paid.
it was really noisy at night because of being right on the town square. also, more info needed in the room about hotel services and amenities.

I absolutely loved the enormous comfy bed and the historic vibe of this coaching house! Plus, a brilliant breakfast deal at £10 kicked off my day right. Monties burger bar nearby was a top-notch find for dinner with delicious bites!

Spacious family room with plenty of storage, but the shower was problematic and some floor tiles were broken. Staff were friendly, and check-in was quick, adding a nice touch to the stay. The bed was comfortable, making for a decent night's sleep. Attractive location with various dining options nearby is a plus, though a lack of AC and no lift may not suit everyone.

The bed was huge and super comfy, and I really enjoyed the tasty avocado and bacon toast for breakfast. Relaxing on the sun terrace with a good book was a lovely way to unwind, and the garden area felt like a peaceful escape. The stairs were a bit narrow, but it didn't ruin my stay at all. just something to keep in mind if you're carrying heavy bags. 😊

Disappointing Experience with Room and Service
During our recent three-night stay, the room felt dated, with a mattress that desperately needed replacing. While the bar staff were friendly, the service lacked attention, especially during dinner where we experienced long waits. For anyone planning to stay, consider checking room details ahead of time.
